Kinesiology tape is designed as an elastic-based tape. This allows the tape to gently lifts the skin for better circulation between the skin and muscle layers and help your body quickly process remove inflammation. The tape’s elasticity can be used to encourage specific muscle motions or restrict the movement of a specific joint.

For many people, Kinesiology tape feels very natural on the skin. Unlike traditional athletic tape that feels restrictive and is used to limit joint motion, Kinesiology tape remains fairly unnoticeable until you reach the end of the range of motion the tape is trying to help. The most common sensation is a slight “pull” on your muscles.
